Membership Benefits
Each year there are eleven monthly membership meetings and an Annual Awards Banquet. There are also club activities such as fishing tournaments, family fishing days, fish fry and other events which allow members to gather for fun and fellowship. The monthly meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm at the Bayside Presbyterian Church, 1400 Ewell Road, Virginia Beach, Virginia. Each meeting consists of a short business meeting, with reports on any special projects and items of interest to the fishing community. There is an educational speaker who may talk on the method of fishing for the most popular fish of that particular season, conservation, boating operation, navigation, and saftety or other topics of interest to the group. At the end this talk, there is a social break with refreshments, which is followed by the prize fish announcements. Several door prize drawings conclude the meeting. There are approximately fifteen members on the Board of Directors who manage the club's business. Every effort is made to have the board represent a cross section of the interests of the membership and every item of business is thoroughly discussed both pros and cons.
